THE ROLE
We're creating a loved brand in Europe and this is where your story starts!
As Barkyn's Backend Developer, you will build product features strategically linked to customer increase, retention, and satisfaction. You will also maintain our services platform and backend applications, as well as contribute to the seamless execution of our tech roadmap.
Specifically, we expect you to:
- Develop web-scale applications delivering features for our e-commerce platform;
- Develop software applications for an e-commerce growing platform;
- Collaborate with Front-End Developers and UI/UX Designers to ensure seamless integration of front-end and back-end functionalities;
- Create and maintain APIs;
- Develop and maintain Golang microservices;
- Stay up to speed with backend technologies, software architecture principles, and design patterns;
- Have an understanding of the full development lifecycle with an emphasis on software quality processes;
- Work in an Agile environment, focusing on delivery/commitment and continuous improvement.
MANDATORY
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field;
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools;
- Proficiency in Python, NodeJS, React, and Golang;
- Experience in creating APIs;
- Familiarity with AWS Lambda;
- Good understanding of web development principles and best practices;
- An excellent team worker with communication skills;
- Skilled in problem-solving and with a proactive attitude;
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
BROWNIE POINTS
- Experience in a startup or B2C company
- Be a dog owner
- Experience or familiarity with Shopify is a plus.
LOCATION
This is a 100% remote position and at this stage, we are only considering people based in Portugal.
