THE ROLE
We're creating a loved brand in Europe, and this is where your story begins!
As Barkyn's Backend Developer, you will build product features strategically linked to customer increase, retention and satisfaction. You will also maintain our services platform and backend applications, as well as contribute to the seamless execution of our tech roadmap.
Specifically, we expect you to:
- Develop web-scale applications delivering features for our e-commerce platform;
- Develop software applications for an e-commerce growing platform;
- Collaborate with Frontend Developers and UI/UX Designers to ensure seamless integration of front-end and back-end functionalities;
- Create and maintain Rest APIs and Microservices;
- Stay up to speed with backend technologies, software architecture principles and design patterns;
- Have an understanding of the full development lifecycle with an emphasis on software quality processes;
- Work in an Agile environment, focusing on delivery/commitment and continuous improvement.
Mandatory requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as Backend or Full Stack Developer;
- Proficiency in Node.js, React, Typescript, Javascript, Python and Go;
- Experience in creating APIs;
- Experience in Microservices;
- Familiarity with Cloud Providers (e.g. AWS, DigitalOcean);
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes;
- Previous experience working at a start-up
- Skilled in problem-solving and with a proactive attitude;
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Brownie points:
- Dog owner;
- Experience or familiarity with Shopify is a plus.
